At Strabane Academy we offer a broad and balanced curriculum designed to nurture the unique strengths and talents of each individual pupil. Today, pupils from both KS3 and KS4 had the fantastic opportunity to attend Queen’s University Belfast for their Girls in Maths and Physics Event.
Our pupils took part in an engaging Q&A with past pupils, hearing about their experiences of university life and the wide range of career opportunities available through studying Mathematics and Physics.
After enjoying some well-deserved pizza 🍕, the girls participated in interactive workshops led by PhD students, giving them the opportunity to explore new ideas, develop their problem-solving skills and see how Maths and Physics are used beyond the classroom.
A fantastic day of inspiration, exploration and learning for our pupils! 🌟

Today we were delighted to hold our Senior School Rewards Assembly, taking time to reflect on and celebrate the hard work, commitment, positive behaviour, and achievements of our pupils throughout the last academic year.
It was wonderful to recognise so many students who consistently demonstrated our school values and made a positive contribution to school life. Their dedication, perseverance, and excellent conduct are a credit to themselves, their families, and our school community.
A special congratulations goes to our Year 12 pupils who achieved their ASPIRE badges, recognising their commitment to excellence and personal growth. We are also incredibly proud of our Year 13 pupils who were awarded the prestigious Head Teacher Badge in recognition of their outstanding contribution and exemplary standards.
Well done to all of our award recipients. We are proud of everything you have achieved and look forward to seeing what you accomplish in the year ahead. ⭐👏

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Year 12 pupil Ross's selection for Team Ireland Youth 250F Riders, who travelled to Foxhill Moto Park a prestigious event hosted by Nora Motorsport.
Representing your country at such a high level is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the dedication, determination, and hard work you put into your sport. Everyone at Strabane Academy is delighted to see your talent being recognised on the national stage.
We hope you had an amazing experience competing alongside some of the best young riders and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Pupils were able to attend talks, speak with staff about courses of interest and enjoy a taster of some of the clubs and activities on offer. A very valuable part of our Year 14 Careers programme which kicked off this week with a visit from the University roadshow.

It was fantastic to see the pupils working together, sharing ideas and demonstrating some excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills while working with our robotics kits. 🤝🧩
There was lots of creativity, collaboration and, most importantly, plenty of fun! 🚀

A huge congratulations to Jake, who has been part of the Sion Mills 1st XI team that has been crowned League 2 Champions and will be promoted to League 1 next season! 🎉👏
Jake has enjoyed an outstanding season across the club, representing the U13s, 2nd XI and 1st XI. The Sion Mills 2nd XI have also secured promotion from League 6, making it an incredible season for Jake and his teammates. 🙌
Jake has shown great captaincy to the U13 team, always leading from the front encouraging the players in team, and being an incredible role model, under Jake's leadership the U13's achieved 2nd place in their 1 season! A fantastic achievement and one which demonstrates his commitment, talent and determination.
And there’s still more to come! This weekend, the Sion Mills 1st XI take on Bready in the Two-Day Cup Final. 🏏🏆
