It is with great pride that I welcome you to our school website. I am truly honoured to serve as the new Principal of Strabane Academy.

At Strabane Academy we offer a broad and balanced curriculum designed to nurture the unique strengths and talents of each individual pupil. Beyond the classroom, our students benefit from the wide range of enriching opportunities - from sports and music to educational visits, Scripture Union, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, to name just a few.

🌍✨ A fantastic opportunity for Caralyne & Chenoa! ✨🌍
We are delighted to celebrate Caralyne and Chenoa, who have both been accepted onto the Exchange2Change – Creative Horizons: Stories from Different Corners exchange programme! 🎭🌎
Taking place from 7–27 October 2026, the programme will see the girls spend the first five days in Kempten, Germany, before travelling to London for the second half of this exciting international experience. 🇩🇪🇬🇧
What an incredible opportunity to meet young people from different backgrounds, share stories and cultures, develop new creative skills and make memories that will last a lifetime! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Oliver, who has been part of the Sion Mills 1st XI team that has been crowned League 2 Champions and will be promoted to League 1 next season! 🎉👏
Oliver has enjoyed an outstanding season across the club, representing the U13s, 2nd XI and 1st XI. The Sion Mills 2nd XI have also secured promotion from League 6, making it an incredible season for Oliver and his teammates. 🙌
Oliver has taken an incredible 29 wickets across the three teams so far this season, a fantastic achievement and one which demonstrates his commitment, talent and determination.
And there’s still more to come! This weekend, the Sion Mills 1st XI take on Bready in the Two-Day Cup Final. 🏏🏆

Photos from Strabane Academy's post A huge congratulations to Finn from 8AB, who travelled to the Royal Meath Show on Sunday 6th September to compete in the All Ireland Junior Young Stockperson Championship. 🐄👏
Having qualified for the competition, Finn went head-to-head with other qualifying champions from across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with competitors judged across a range of areas including animal preparation, stock judging and handling.
We are delighted to share that Finn was awarded 🥇 1st Place – All Ireland Junior Young Stockperson!

Our pupils enjoyed a series of engaging and thought-provoking sessions, with plenty of important messages and opportunities for reflection. The sessions were delivered brilliantly and were extremely well received by our young people.
